This was one of my first real editing projects. My friend Odin Peter-Raboff who produced this DVD asked me if I would be interested in editing it. I had no computer worthy of editing so I broke out the credit card and bought a Apple G5, Final Cut, Photoshop, two cheap monitors and an external harddrive. At this point I knew I was serious about video production and so did my wife when she saw the credit card bill come in. I explained to her that people have paid $1000 per edited minute and that one day we would be rich! She gave me that funny look that I usually get when I am acting like a fool. today, I am still trying to prove my point to her, while collecting more and more super expensive equipment that is neccessary to produce video the right way. What a fun life I have. By the way this video is an overview of a conference that took place here in Fairbanks. Many great speakers and people from all over the globe. The Alaska Native Knowledge Network should have a copy if you are interested in it. Adam J. Demientieff |
