While conceptualizing a project about my parent's (Andy and Effie Kokrine) fishcamp for an oral history class, I had the good fortune to speak to Adam about what I would like the project to be upon completion: I wanted a combination of pictures, recorded interviews and music to provoke emotion, because I believe that music is a powerful medium. Adam told me about his passion for multi-media production, and that he had recently procured equipment that he was experimenting with, and would help me to pull the production together. We scanned pictures, recorded and edited interviews and put a musical background to a DVD entitled "Gramps City: The Yukon River Fishcamp of Andy and Effie Kokrine". With added titles and credits where appropriate, and editing by Adam, the final product was an emotionally-charged, awe-inspiring documentary. I will be forever grateful for Adam showing me the possibilities of multi-media documentation.
